Remember back in the day when radio ruled the airwaves here in Honolulu and you really wanted a T-Shirt from your favorite rock station, or maybe you were a Pink Cadillac, The Jazz Cellar, or The Wave Waikiki junkie like myself? Well, I will be producing the shirts for you to enjoy all over again and bring back those fond memories of our wild times. Get stoked because the first batch of the 98 Rock shirts will arrive by December 1st. This is the only website that will be legally offering original Kpoi, Radio Free Hawaii, Z-Rock. The Fox, 1015 Krock, Pink Cadillac and The Wave Waikiki T-Shirts that were once popular in their time... I own the trademarks to most of the names, so its time to unleash these iconic shirts on the ROCK you live on.
.Just in time for the Holiday Season... Here is the original "98Rock" T-Shirt that came out back in the day, which was worn on everyone's back. I own 5- different Kpoi designs that I bought at Kramers in the 80's, located in the Ala Moana Center.. This is a full-color small chest front logo and full back color logo design with "The Rock Warrior" 1015 Krock Hawaii's Rock Station on both sleeves in small text. I also added the date of its life on the air when it was broadcasting over the Hawaiian airwaves (1959-2004).
I have been doing radio in Honolulu since wood burning stereos, or 1982... and have been bounced around on mostly all of them. My longest stint is currently on 1015 Krock where I'm a free-form DJ, which means I do not have a playlist to follow. I do not have program directors or music consultants telling me what to play. Period! I play what I want because that's the way music should be heard. It's all about the theater of the mind. I try and create the mental atmosphere while you listen to my show. I'm also a firm believer in supporting local music here as well that's why I love my monthly rock and punk shows. My name is Jamie DeMatoff "The Rock Warrior" \m/
